Full of great information that I had never heard. Thanks for sharing. I would have loved to see a D&D comic by you and Jeff Dee!

Mr. Willingham, is there a source to buy prints of your art from those days?

Late to the game, but have to say that a D&D comic would have been amazing. Not too long ago, I collected the D&D ads that had been posted in comics. I know there were some challenges with those, but I still feel like they are a fun read. Plus I just love that early D&D art.

Really interesting article too. Hope you're able to share more TSR stories. It's too bad that a lot of that history was never recorded, and it's difficult to find since most of it happened before the internet became widely used.

Tried to post a link on Facebook because many of my friends are gamers and I thought they'd find it interesting. Facebook blocked it on the grounds that posting links to Substack goes against their community standards because of all the spam and by spam they mean a competing website that offers superior content that might lure people away from Facebook.

Where are the photos of you from back then? :)

I completely noticed the overworking and varied offers of Steamboat Willie products when that movie was to become public domain.

I sat in on a conversation recently about how songwriters are getting shafted for royalties and perhaps they should get some producer points too even if they didn’t produce that would come out of the artist/producer’s cut. Noticed no one wanted to pay for it out of the record company’s share….

Stuff like this will never end. The rich and powerful will always prey on and cheat the poor.
