Yes, As a Matter of Fact, I Do
In which I answer the oft answered question, “Why don’t you still draw anymore?”
I write comics (among other things), to the extent that there are now few readers who knew I also used to draw comics on a regular basis.
In fact, in my early days in the business, all I did was the art (because in those days accurate inside information about the process of making comics was hard to come by, and I was under the impression one had to choose to either write or draw the comic, but not both). Since I wanted to draw them more than write them, I chose drawing.
Which brings us back to the title question, to which the short answer is, “I never stopped drawing.” But I haven’t drawn a regular comic book in a good long while, which probably explains why some of you think I put away the pencils, inks, and brushes, permanently.
Here’s some recent proof.
And this.
And now this.
And so on.
Why am I showing this now? Because I’m closer to opening up my commissions list again, and this time it’s going to be done exclusively through These Foolish Games.
Fuck yeah!...I mean, I do look forward to that.
