Poetry Corner
In honor of National Poetry Day, which I'm informed it is, here's a poem I wrote and illustrated.
Watch her slither, watch her slide,
There’s no chance that you can hide,
You’re about to be inside,
Our darling Lamia.
Feel her titan coils bunch,
Around your bones, now hear them crunch,
You’ve been chosen for her lunch,
Our lovely Lamia.
Feel her poisoned kiss of death,
Taste her foul reptilian breath,
Child of Hecate and Ashtoreth,
Our glorious Lamia.
Hear your screams of agony crest,
See your blood drip down her breast,
Born of rot and twice unblessed,
Our precious Lamia.
Feel no more, she ends her glut,
As you slip on down her gut,
You tasted good, you made the cut,
For our sweet Lamia.
Just a few more illustrations and this could be published as a chapbook. It's already a lovely piece of work. There aren't enough lamia poems out there.
