Remember way back in the dim days of a couple of days ago, when I announced that my original art commissions are back in action? Well, the response has been vigorous enough that (unfortunately, because I have too, too much other work to do) I may have to close it off soon.
But, at the same time I’ve decided to expand on my original art offerings, by adding a new art size to the ranks. My art guy Brad (yeah, I have a guy) came up with the name “cameo size” for this size of commission. And I like that name, so we’re using it. A cameo size piece of art is on an 6 1/2 by 10 inch piece of sturdy art board, and will be pencils and inks. Look up there for some examples of what I’m able to draw in this format.
And of course, with the smaller art board and lesser amount of detail, the price is much lower than the 11 by 17 inch commissions. As always, contact Brad for all of the gory details and outrageous conditions. You can reach him at Brad.thomte@gmail.com
How many of these will I be able to do, before I have to close off this part of the list too? I’m not sure. It’ll be my first foray into working at this size for the fans (and by fans I mean the customers, and by customers I mean you who call the tunes, and then have to pay the Piper), so we’ll have to see. I will try to warn you, here in this corner of the internet, when the whole thing is about to be closed down.
After more than forty years in this business, I’m still tickled to death (which is closer now than at the beginning of my career) that you folks continue to appreciate and support my work. Opening up these (rare, I admit) opportunities to get originals from me at your demand is one of the ways I try to show you my humble gratitude. Thank you so much.
Look for other announcements here soon, within The Bill Show postings and supplementing them. Some interesting developments are on the way.
